About Us

Wachusett Vinyeards is a small winery in Hubbardston, MA, owned by the Keagle family.  Planted in 2017 and incorporated in 2018, we are dedicated to new hybrid grape varieties, which we believe offer the best combination of flavor, aroma, and suitability to the New England climate.

Historically, winemakers in the Northeast had to choose between old-world grape varieties that produce good wine but don't grow well in our cold climate, or native grapes that grow abundantly but don't make good wine.  Times have changed!  Exciting new developments in the field of grape breeding have produced new varieties that offer the best of both worlds - cold hardy, disease-resistant growth habits and amazing flavor.

We currently grow Seyval Blanc, Aromella, Itasca, Petie Pearl, Crimson Pearl, Arandell, Marquette, Brianna, and Acadie Blanc.  All of these varieties offer bold aromas and delicious, fruit-forward flavor profiles.  We are committed to this new generation of grape varieties.  They are both exciting to drink and easier on the environment.
