Over the past few weeks, we have been proud to introduce the following two new wines:
First, we are happy to offer something special, just for the Holidays. Santé is a toast in French, meaning "To your health," so we thought it would be the perfect celebratory name for our latest hybrid French/American white wine. Available exclusively for local delivery, Santé is an off-dry blend of Cayuga and Aromella. Sold in 375ml demi-bottles, it makes the perfect gift for friends and neighbors. It's a great addition to a gift basket or even a stocking-stuffer for those "kids" who are 21 years of age or older! Delivery is free to Hubbardston and surrounding towns.
We have also recently released our new flagship red wine, known as Americana Rustique. We expect this to be a strong seller. As the years go by and we refine the recipe even further, our hope is that Americana Rustique will be not just a signature Wachusett Vineyards label, but also a regional high water mark for what cold-climate hybrid grape varieties can achieve. A gorgeous, purple-hued blend of Marquette and Petite Pearl from our own Hubbardston vineyard and aged in American oak barrels, it opens with a nose of rose petal and men's cologne, leading to a palate full of cherry candy and evergreen. Fruity acidity and soft but structured tannins make it a food-friendly wine that should improve with age for several years. Available for free delivery and coming soon to participating retailers.
